It hit me so hard when I had been playing Fieth that I just kind of needed to lie down and feel very confused for a moment. Confidence is a thing! A scary but freeing thing. And I think playing pretend at it by being someone who has it helps a bit with it irl.
admittedly 'what would Matt do' is a HORRIBLE metric for actual behaviour, but there's something to be said for channeling his 'so what are you gonna do about it, huh?' emotions

me: oh I haven't written a lot and then I go bring the word/page count on the rp doc up to date and... we've been at this since april 2016. it's by now 1.030.200 words on 38.910 gdoc pages. and that's only one of like...4 rps we had going concurrently (not counting the one on here...) turns out: I am productive As Fuck somehow my brain just refuses to count rp as Actual Writing
This year's Hospital xmas celebration is gonna be a trip to the local Amateur Theater plus dinner and i'm so down for that
so i am trying to get into an 'do daily evening stretchies' routine that is easy and low-involvement enough to also do them at work if I can and so far it's going well. please just let me try and get some flexibility back, and also: back stretches are probably a good idea considering how much of my work is either hurrying or sitting at a desk
alsoooo this sunday there's an insect show/exhibit at the city call so guess who's rolling her ass out there to look at some cool critters. It's a long weekend for me too (thursday oncall, thus friday OFF) ETA: there's a street food market thing being held this weekend too soooo if the weather's not shitty I'm just gonna...hit both. if the weather is shitty, insect only.

SO MY BPAL PARCEL IS FINALLY WITH ME Here are the preliminary results from sniffing bottles: first, the ones i actually bought: Death's Head Moth: spice and wood. dark without being heavy. a little sharp on the nose Mictecacihuatl: smoke and flowers. It's way sweeter than I would have expected of the description, the rose is very prominent, but not overpoweringly so, the tobacco smoke really tones it down to something i wanna wear The Shadowed Veil: not at ALL what i expected. the bourbon is very present, a thick vanilla note right out of the bottle, reminds me of Bread-And-Butterfly. I think the other notes will be clearer once worn The Embodiment Of Funeral Gloom: dark green. fresh but not like growing things, more like fresh rain in autumn. this would make a fantastic candle now the freemps. I have so many freemps. Rogue (from the rpg series): a very soft, light scent, neutral not in that it smells like nothing but more that it's a smell that'll fit with many things Perversion: soft, i wanna say plush? it has some of the same bourbon notes as Shadowed Veil, but much less on the nose. more something to wear in the evening than all day Antony: green, growing, fresh, herby. a spring scent without being flowery at all Oberon: similar to Antony but more...grown up, i wanna say. earthier, fuller, like a greenhouse Queen of Hearts: sweet sweet sweet but somehow not cloying. reminds me of cherry candy, the artificial kind. nothing i'd have bought for myself but something I'm willing to try No.93 Engine: wood, wax, spices with just enough herbs and flowers to keep it airy. very clean, very straightforward The Lights of Men's Lives: wax and smoke but without the herbs that Engine has, so it comes out much warmer. Very complex out of the bottle, i can't pick out all the notes, but I suspect it's one of those that's better on the skin than out the bottle Queen: musk and flowers, fairly heavy, fairly sweet has some background note that i can't quite place that might be oakmoss which would be Unfortunate because those never work out for me
