construction notes because otherwise i'll forget, this has a strong 'X has to happen at Y point in construction' element.

    • construct both arms separately, attach to shoulder curls, including black inside part. Ensure that this actually is a closed unit i can stuff. Potentially add some black fleece as 'backing' panel. Attach front lights to curl (leave space for final seam!)
    • construct entire chestcase safe for the 'top'. mark where chest curl would go with white basting thread for orientation + where to put the aston symbol. black straps under big front appliquée! Including wheels! (attach wheels of course). Ensure that curl and wheel don't fight (maybe shorten curls a bit)
    • stuff up to 2/3s of chest. Make ass extra plush. Stuff wheels.
    • construct head and attach to chest 'top', stuff it
    • sew front of top to chest, attach arms at 'armpit'. finish stuffing arms up to shoulder
    • Attach side of tops. pin/baste down back of the top for easier handling
    • attach the black inside part of shoulder curl. Leave rest of curl free
    • place front curl. Stuff as I go from the front, then stuff part of shoulder. repeat on other side
    • starting from the middle, close up one side of the backtop seam. hide ugliest part under shoulder curl.
    • place backcurl, sew it down, stuff as I go
    • repeat last two steps on the other side
    • stitch down the black straps on the back, make them look pretty somehow? maybe hide under shouldercurl, otherwise just 'slice' to a nice point.
    DONE!

gave KO mittens instead of proper hands because after two attempts i had to admit that i couldn't turn out the fingers, period. so mittens it is. at least it still looks cute

I have made the second arm!! All constituent parts now exist and i can attempt final assembly tomorrow.

Also: butter knifes are good for when you wanna sew sonething to the outside of a tube without sticking the sides together

Now: the lazy-daisy, which turns out will be my main stitch for the leafs, since it's fairly easy, fairly quick, and i like the resulting look

    Fourth panel finshed!

Rough time frame is one week/panel now, which is frankly faster than i ever though it'd be

The embroidery yarn stash is shrinking, which is good tbh, there's so much of it...

I'm slowly plodding away at this skirt and i found that 'Restoration Man' is also a very good series to put on in the background on youtube while sewing, while being considerably less depressing than true crime bits.

so i am still working on the skirt and probably will be for the better part of the year and this would go faster but my wrist and finger joints at complaining about what I'm doing to them and it's very annoying. Let me work, body, you're not even thirty (yet), you got no excuse for pulling this bullshit. Let me...continue...

i am also already working on my next project, which will be another plushie, albeit this one hopefully much, MUCH less fiddly than the transformers one

tho honestly i'm not sure if there's a way to make a more fiddly plushie.

Regardless, tomorrow I'll hit the fabric shop and see if i can get everything I need because i am a parody of myself.

    Plushies to make,in order:

True North (in the works, pattern done, parts cut)
    Harper's (make pattern)
    Starmap (make pattern)
Intrepid (wait for screenies to evaluate)
Rustpunk (wait for screenies to evaluate)

Fortunately some if the sgells are quite similar, so i don't have to reinvent the wheel every time.
