Harper's pattern done (mostly. will need to do some adhoc thing at some point once fabric exists) Tomorrow: starmap pattern if i get the necessary screenies
Starmap done tomorrow: Intrepid if possible before DnD otherwise: saturday intrepid Sunday: rustpunk Monday: supply haul for all I'm missing
Pakige is happen today while i have oncall ;_; Hopefully my neighbours will take it otherwise i'm gonna havd to do some driving in circles to get everything
true north shell: parts cut backside finished eye put together made some on the fly adjustments to the parts because Fabric Stretch keeps happening to me and i hate.
True North shell: done Harper's Shell: parts cut, first tiny bit of sewing done. Plan for tomorrow: more sewing on Harper's shell
front and back pannel for harper's shell complete. also pinned it all esperimentally together and would you look at that, my measurements are correct!! so tomorrow I'm hoping to finish the sides and then i can hopefully put it all together over the next few days.
alright lads, lasses, lenbies I have finished the harper shell yesterday (so chonky!!) and i already cut all the starmap bits today, which means i can get going on sewing at least some of the smaller parts together today! Progress is inevitable Next up: Intrepeid shell, though potentially after my visit to my fambly for birthmas. I love my mum but boy howdy do i not need her sewing advice, even if it comes from the very well-meaning place of 'has been sewing anything from plushies to curtains to dance customes and doll clothes as far back as i can remember' This is my project and i wanna do it myself, my way.
starmap progress: back panel put together, eye put together plan for tomorrow: put together the front panel, then give it all an experimental pin to see if my measurements work out plan for monday: embroidering back and front panel Many.
only need to put down one more ribbon and then the starmap shell is done and I can start cutting the parts for the Intrepid shell. which while i will cut them tomorrow, i won't actually start it until i'm back from my parents.
I know i said I wouldn't start the intrepid shell for reals until I was back from my parents But guess what I just did. On the plus side, I worked out a construction problem I had.
i wanna talk about the thing and post pictures and i am about to explode but like. There are surprises here so i Cannot and just. hrrrr.
i have so many ideas and i gotta shout them at five different people to avoid spoiling things and this is a new problem i had not encountered with crafting before.
okay so the basebody of the intrepid shell is complete, i just gotta fix up the rigging, attach it and do some minor fiddling and then i have this ghostie done too and get move on the the rustpunk shell, erstwhile the last of the bunch
also took some artistic license with the dimension of the eye (the part i scale everything else to) because otherwise it would have been too tiny to sensibly work out. But it still looks cute and game models don't have to adher to fabric physics, so.
intrepid shell: FINISHED and i have cut all the parts for the Rustpunk shell, so now it's a mad dash to the finish line
*rubs my lil sinful hands* awright i have sewed soll the spikes together, maybe i can get some work done on the eye before calling it a day
Eye done, base of backside done Tomorrow i can do a science Witz fabric markers sind spike placement. Progression is....unexpectedly Swift?
