oh my god this thread is wonderful and exactly what i needed to see

do you remember anything about this pup? they look a lot like my girl, who's a basenji mix shelter dog and Very Good and i just want this dog to know that i love them

 

this is baylor! she's a herding mix of some sort (maybe with hound, maybe with cur, almost certainly a multigen mutt so it's hard to say definitively but she does have a double coat so there's gotta be a fair amount of herder in there) and she's super chill. she likes back scratches and leaning on me :)

edit: also one time i had to bathe her and she accepted that cruel torment with grace, and was very excited to be dried off afterward. dogs love towels.

 

an incomplete list of things dogs love:
-going through doors
-towels
-laying their tongues on my neck casually as if that's a done thing
-being told that their best quality is their wiggles

 

they're all so good. im glad that dogs loving towels after bathing is a consistent thing. callie will lay on towel and then be happily towed around on the towel like a litter because she rolls herself all out of energy when she first gets out
