i dont think he was doing it for his younger self though. he was absolutely trying to pull an aranea and lodge himself in a viable timeline to be Relevant again.

after about like, a hundred years of time traveling and narrowly escaping death via being a doomed timeline alternate he figures out enough about how the dream bubbles work to be able to negotiate w the horrorterrors

if they give him his own realm hell stop jumping around and wrecking a shitton of timelines and seriously fucking up the fabric of paradox space

 

You know what, I have just realized were it is you have succeeded that Ray failed hard. He set up all his main characters as these flawless, one dimensional paragons of martyrdom and yawn, and then you swoop in like okay but what if this character's actual motivation is that he is a selfish asshole, and suddenly there are FLAWS and CONFLICTS and I AM INVESTED.

like its pretty obvious that the doctor artist cronus is oily and the painting in his room is implying that his and saturns relationship was somehow familial (im still havin em fuck idc)

His gingerly movements and leading with his hands told Cronus that the musician was completely blind as the scientist had said, but he didn’t move the way a person used to blindness normally does. If anything, the way the musician reached out hands first at nothing until he felt the motorcyclist’s back and smoothed his hands to clasp them around the motorcyclist’s torso made the disability seem recent."

this is throwing a wrench into the 'clairvoyants are mutilated kid cronuses because theyre more hopeful and have to be replaced as they age' theory. then again, 'kiddo' could mean hes younger than the rest and was just rescued so its not entirely ruled out yet

the cronus usually ends up with venus because he literally couldnt care less
