nemesis's "pride comes before the fall" attack was so extra but i finally switched out my pre-god tier jade for level 69 god tier kanaya that did the trick (lvl 66 god tier john, lvl 70 god tier rose, lvl 43 pre-god tier sollux, lvl 69 kanaya was my nemisis team. used kan's special ability right before the nemesis fight to heal. the rest of the fight was EZ)
time to alternia grind with this team!! i'd use the ancestors more often but their special abilities are kinda garbage and that's about as far as my strategy goes. that and using a wide range of color affinities
They take a LOT of preload but Dolorosa is a gift. I usually use the preload orbs with them, same as with Sollux.
oooh yeah............dolorosa's ability is pretty great. i just way prefer abilities that i can use more often. i should work on grabbing the denizens after i level sollux up to god tier so i can sort through those abilities. i have nemesis, bastet, and......one other, i don't remember who. kanaya's, i think?
Ah, I did all the denizens before I did Alternia. Eridans extends you Max HP, the other all either give you extra orbs or increase one colours damage. One just gives you ten orbs of each colour.
I think you just grind the starting levels? For a while? Possibly it matters if you have the corresponding people in your party while you do so, but I'm not certain on that.
It took me ages to get the few I was missing. 8I; and then it took ages to get Mom as well. aaaages. lots of grinding and waiting.
hmm, I finally defeated Lord English, but it doesn't stick. I get the victory page, then it drops me back to the felt mansion screen with no 'X' through Lord English.. I've always had trouble getting the game to save...
