Em yelped and dropped their book. That was right, they hopefully had packages! They shoved their book in their pocket, and stood up. There was a brief moment of dizziness (wow, they'd been reading for quite a while), and then they took off to grab the packages.

 

"I know paperwork exists, but I don't think it's my department."

 

"Paper work? Is there anything I need to fill out while I'm here?" He'd probably have to wait to look around the colony to find anything to trade, he could already see a few people coming up towards the concrete patio.

 

Em made their way to the site of the packages.
They waved enthusiatically to the group of people already there.

 

"Heyyyyy Em! What'd you order?"
Ivy grinned and opened their arms as an offer of a hug.

 

Em cheerfully tossed themself at Ivy, nearly causing them to topple to the ground.
"New sweater and some lip gloss, and some books!"

 

"Eeeeexcellent choices!" Ivy giggled and snuggled up to Em.
"I got... So. Much. Fabric. So much! It's going to be fun to work with I can't wait!" They bounced excitedly.

 

Em returned the snuggles happily.
"Ooh, what kinds of fabric? What are you gonna make with it? Do you have ideas yet???"

 

"Oh man, oh man! I got silk and yarn, nano enhanced kevlar, and that really really cool shapeshifting and color altering fabric that is so expensive, but so worth it. Most of it isn't really planned away yet though the kevlar is for the defense force uniforms! But I kinda just browsed and you know how it is when I browse space amazon!"
They laughed a little.

 

"Yep, I know that feel. I just went on for books, I swear! Next thing I know, though..."
They grinned.
"You should make a fancy dress out of the color changing fabric."

 

It took Kit a while to catch up - she keeps forgetting that barefoot isn't great everywhere! But shoes are Terrible, and there's lots of interesting things on the ground while she keeps an eye out for glass or anything, and she gets to the mail arrival place eventually.

She stretches up on tiptoe, looking over the carts, her hair moving gently behind her and shading through gold and... purple? hues. "Color changing fabric sounds really cool," she offers, sounding almost distracted. "Did Kai come with the mail?"

((OOC: Since I haven't RP'd Kit outside of her arrival, in which I never got her out of Holy Gate or talking to anyone except @Scheherazade, feel free to have other Kintsugijin be confused as to where she came from or who she is, lol))

 

That is actually a great idea! Ivy draws back a little, touching a finger to their chin in a playfully pondering pose.
"Mhhh And I have enough to make TWO dresses, one for me and one for Kite! Do you think Kite would like a dress like that? They always wear that silly skirt made out of soooo many pockets but you know! We should have a matching outfit! Maybe. I should ask them!"
Ivy grinned broadly.

 

"Ooh, yes, good plan. Do you think you'd have any left over after? Cause then you could make accessories!"

"I know, right?" Em said. And then they paused.
"Uh, who are you?"

 

Kit blinks, then refocuses, grinning broadly. "Hi! I'm Kit! I'm new, I came through a... gate? The temple gate. Sorry, I'm still getting used to, you know, this." She waves a hand down her body. "Rebooting is always a bit disorienting. Anyway. Hi, who are you, what's your favorite kind of flower?"

 

"Hi Kit! I'm Em! My favorite flowers are marigolds!"
Several mice began to crawl out of their sweater to look at the newcomer.

 

"Hi Em! That sounds familiar, I wonder why. Have you seen Kai around anywhere, by chance? She ought to be showing up sometime. Well, I say she. No idea what Kai will be like this time."

While Kit is babbling cheerfully, she runs her fingers through her hair, pausing and tugging for a second. Her hand comes back out with a little posey of marigolds, which she starts to hand over to Em, only to make a tiny noise of delight when she notices the mice. "Oh! You have tiny friends! Hello, tiny friends."

 

Em makes a noise of delight at the marigolds.
"Aww, thanks!"
One of the mice, a small white one, crawls onto their arm.
"Yes, tiny friends! This is Tuppence," they say, gesturing to the white mouse.
"Do you wanna hold her?"

 

"Hello again, Kit. Glad to see you're getting used to the place."

 

"I'm trying my best!" Kit chirps back at Scheherazade. She then says timidly to Em, "Oh, could I?" and holds out her hands.

 

"Of course! She thinks you seem fun."
Em stretched her hand out to Kit, and Tuppence ran onto her.
Em began to point out the other mice on them.
"This is Arthur, and that's Tommy, and that's Agatha, and that's-"
It continued on for a whilr, as there were quite a few mice.
