there is some gold in the page chat but one thing is getting people upset over the implication of white chain now being dave's daughter (and that somehow implying she's now "nerfed" or he has power over her) and to that i say:

• even if she doesn't have any of his genetics she was still made "from" him (or rather his actions/attack) and still counts as a something like a daughter, especially as this moment passes into myth within the setting
• i can personally assure you there are a LOT of narratives hidden in the world of daughters going "fuck you dad, i may be OF you but im NOT you and im not going to BECOME you or continue your BULLSHIT" so this being yet another one would not surprise me in the slightest (raven's arc in the older teen titans cartoon is another good one). these stories just normally don't see the limelight because Patriarchy and Sexism
• even if you discount his contributions to this phenomenon she's still very much a daughter of the kind of ridged system he represents and so could be seen as his "offspring" that way. which is VERY MUCH IN LINE with her story arc and abbadon wasn't even subtle about it in this fight
• she knows ki-rata (or something as like it as to make little difference) now. apprentices counted as adopted children in a not insignificant part of the world. "learning" it here from this fight could be seen as a kind of apprenticeship.
• this whole fight is more about the mind and will than any physical aspect so giving dave a "daughter" that does what millennia of sons couldn't do (even if she hasn't actually drawn any of his blood) is a MASSIVE mindfuck on top of him swearing off daughters only to now sort-of have one
• how else do you cut a Diamond than with another Diamond

obviously in references to her being trans
but we've seen angels called igneous and other ~hot thing cooling down and changing its shape/texture/type~ kind of thing
ITS ALL FORSHADOWING!!!
she is literally transcendent into a new "state" that other angels just haven't seen before because they keep sabotaging those that try to get there

just like how allison is shaping up to be unlike anything the demiurges were expecting. a girl instead of a guy. aiming for talk and alliance and sneaking and trusting her friends instead of smashing and grabbing and conquering like the warriors of old.

it really is all about smashing the wheel to be reforged into something (hopefully) better
