nadia is not the original demiurge, that'd be hastet, but in the relevant history infodumps, it's always her shown, even during the wartime and key creation shots. that's kind of interesting, it builds her as the important character in question and makes more sense from a storytelling perspective, if a bit less from the "wtf actually happened" one --

I assumed Hastet was a demiurge, but was never actually one of the Seven? So she stole his key of kings before the universal war broke out, which is why she's seen in all those history shots.

The whole Metatron/Michael plan seems kind of stupid, honestly, even ignoring the Allison thing. I could maybe understand it if the plan was to get Zaid to Metatron immediately like Juggernaut Star was trying to do (basically convincing him to join the Strong Thorn Squad before he really comes into his power), but apparently the original idea was to get Zaid to kill the Seven, have Juggs kill Zoss (who would presumably be assisting Zaid like he's been doing with Allison in a roundabout way) and THEN try and get him on the angel's side? C'mon now, guys. You're bajillions of years old, you should be smarter than this >:(

 

My guess: Michael wishes to bring as much of yisun back through Zaid as possible. Maybe through a kind of singularity (and he can have back his perfect epoch)

 

Honestly I'm just waiting for someone to play for the Allison-Yis and Zaid-Un setup, and Allison going like "nope I here am AL-YIS-UN and this creep here ain't fit to shine my shoes"

 

the prose sections are worth it, so do a reread in which you check the alt-text, the prose sections, and the comments, because there's a bit of lore in the comments and some absolutely hilarious usernames.

 

I like the Prim stories.

 

I will say without any qualification that the stories about Aesma are my favorite part of the comic, which, yes, I've read the whole comic, I KNOW how good it is. ...Ok, maybe the stories about Aesma AND the background art, but still.

Especially Aesma and the Red-Eyed King. CHILLS.

I'm glad this comic is getting so popular across the board, it deserves every scrap of attention it gets.

I do believe reading spasm 8 was my 'holy shit, this isn't just going to be good, this is going to be REALLY GOOD' moment. The author knows their shit, has really thought about things, and knows how to express them. Holy fuck.

 

...And I just love seeing angel names take over the kintsugi user titles, slowly but surely. So creative : D
