i think you might have hit post too early? i know that errors like that in my posts mean i hit post button too early...
What do you mean your full name isn't Seebs Seebach Also, re: nicknames, I think part of the problem there is that Athol was consistently bad at correctly spelling names back in the PPC days, and was often made fun of for that. (The PPC's setting actually has a whole thing dedicated to making fun of misspelled names), with some people (which I might also have noticed here?) assuming she was doing it on purpose as an insult, so she started using nicknames for everyone.
While that's certainly possible and may very well be true, hopefully you understand the lack of trust on that front. ETA: A lack of trust that she hasn't been doing it on purpose and that it originally started as just misspellings, I mean.
Okay, when I was growing up, it was fine to default to "he" as a pronoun. We also used words like "mailman" instead of mailcarrier even though there were a lot of mailladies. (guess which of those three my spell-check actually likes.) Then femininsm got to a point where they wanted everyone to say "he or she" instead of defaulting to he. It was a mouthful and that's probably where the experiments in making up new genderless pronouns came in. Trying to use "they" when talking about an individual gives me the brainweird. It also doesn't help that we went from "hey you need to fix this" to "why haven't you fixed this" without enough time to develop a new habit. You'll notice that I just randomly choose a gender or still default to "he" rather than trying to say "he or she" all of the time.
Pretty much I do blow up when people say untrue things about me and then don't listen to the corrections. I say "this exists" without saying that I'm a fencesitter on the disagreement side, suddenly I'm fully supporting the thing that I mentioned. Spock's insisting that I said "duh" and called her a schizophrenic when I was trying to describe a behavior. Let's turn it around, shall we?
No, @palindromordnilap got it right. I'm an atrocious speller and have to rely on my computer for simple things. My computer doesn't knoW people's names.
There's also that I finally get that what I thought were basic human rights were actually things that you have to earn. If you want to be listened to, you have to say the right things. If you want to say "my personal lived experience is valid" you have to have the right experiences.
Bruh XDDDDD One, you still can't actually get away with pretending like you don't know what paraphrasing is. Second, ~~~~when people say untrue things about me and then don't listen to the corrections~~~~
Can you clarify what you're getting at when you talk to me about paraphrasing? Noted. "comparing you" the schizophrenic bit is still the wrong focus.
Also pinging on this part... spockandawe said: ↑ Is the abuse this 'it'? (Look at how I have to point because she's too stupid to figure it out.)Because that's one of FOUR 'it's in this post, (She's too stupid to count.) and if this is still what you mean, it's the least sensible place to substitute in 'the abuse' (Stupid stupid stupid and nonsensical.) (Seven posts of unnecessary derail!)(She's stupid and it's all her fault.)
(Hint one: when did i literally say you literally said "duh") (Hint two: when I'm directly quoting your words, i directly quote your words, because they make you look worse than I ever could) (Hint three: when do you ever slow down enough to bother directly quoting your sources) Bruh.
Slow because I’m typing this from my shitty iPhone right now, so might be behind. BUT. Do not start with DARVO-ing. Do not. I accept this with a bolder of salt and only because I often have to rely on autocorrect to help me. You’re not dense. You know what paraphrasing is. Either I’m misunderstanding or you’re attrmpting to derail. Second, the schizophrenic comment is absolutely not the wrong focus. Everything you’ve been saying and doing is the focus and all of it is up for scrutiny.
Yeah no I'm not tolerating this shit anymore. Cut it out. You know this isn't what anyone has said or thinks and I've told you it's manipulative and abusive enough times and that doing it to me is not acceptable that I am no longer giving you the benefit of the doubt on it and will require an apology for every instance of the behavior moving forward. Nobody is denying you are perceiving things like you are, those perceptions just also aren't TRUE. Facts, actually matter. If I am holding a thing and let go of it, it will fall on the ground. If I then say it didn't and that it's still hovering in the air, that is untrue even if I perceive it to still be happening.
I'm laughing with you because that was an awesome typo. Like, I was trying to look up what size container is a bolder. It's an exercise that Kathy had me try. Basically I was to read my own words and imagine that they were being said back to me. This is a variation where I'm using a post to demonstrate what keeps happening to me. It would be funny if the subtext to that actually is spockandawe repeatedly calling me stupid, but that would mean that the example failed. I think the problem is that I need to do it and keep forgetting to do it.
How'd that work out doing it as intended? Spock was asking clarifying questions. It's unfortunate they made you angry but they were questions that needed to be asked because you just were not being clear in how you were communicating and have shown that your timeline on the events referenced is incredibly hazy.
No, I really still do not get it. @seebs can you pull your explanation out of the wiggler? There's too much to keep track of in there, I'm uncomfortable with having conversations there most of the time, and I'd do it myself but I'm not allowed to bring content out of the wiggler. I'll paraphrase and see where the disconnect is.
I found a Seebs Explanation, surely it's the right one given that I was given no direction on which one it was at all.
