I actually had a dog (part akita, we think - guard dogs by nature, historically used to hunt bears) who loved every animal but squirrels and some other dogs. She used to dig up voles in the backyard and we'd come running to separate them, but she had no interest in biting, stepping on them, or shaking them to try and break their necks. When poked, voles will squeak, and that's all she ever wanted to do to them. Unfortunately that lead to a sad incident where one accidentally died (probably a heart attack). Watching her realize what happened was awful. She"d been wagging her tail, amd then that and her ears fell. She poked him two more times abd when he didn't magically revive himself she looked at us like 'I don't understand- what happened?'

 

I'd like to clarify - she was sad that time (and another time when she was trying to be helpful by herding my hamster that had gotten out of its cage without understanding that he was scared of her because SHE knew she just wanted to pick him up and maybe cuddle him, so how come he didn't?) but overall she was surrounded by friends, so she recovered.

 

The other day my sibling got pics of Buster being incredibly annoying to Missy while she made irritated noises at him. These were promptly titled "The Goob Experience."

@seed Got Milo a cat tree for xmas, and while it took him about a week to be sure it didn't eat cats, he now loves it.

 

This is my cat, Braveheart. He's a good boy and I love him very much.

 

What a cutie. I especially like the little white wisp on his chest.
