Just got around to trying Sil, and it's the most accessible roguelike I've ever tried! Very cool, too! The songs of power mechanic is really cool.

I loved the beta. I have the release version but I haven't played it as much as I did the beta when I found it.

Pixel Dungeons is a super fun mobile roguelike. It's open source so there's variations by other people too! Shattered Pixel Dungeons is my favorite

My poison of choice is still Angband. I started out on NetHack, but I like the bigger dungeons because exploring!! I do best with tanky fighters. Have never managed to win either game.

ETA: I've also tried ZAngband and Dwarf Fortress, which I found impenetrable.

i'm a wee 23y/o babby whose first roguelike was Spelunky, which i have yet to re download since my first laptop died a couple years ago. Now I'm making heart eyes at Crypt of the NecroDancer, since its got a cool rhythm game aspect to it.
