I'm tentatively excited for Deathmatch-- the map is a blast to run around on and is really well optimized for all kinds of movement. It sucks that you can't queue as a group to murder each other, but it makes sense, so I figure there'll probably be custom maps just for that anyways.
Gripe: don't ask for healing repeatedly when my field's on cooldown and then IMMEDIATELY run away from it once I deploy it ( and no, they weren't even going for a health pack since there were none in that direction.) I swear my 76 must be the grouchiest old bugger out there. No, Reaper, I'm not going to heal you after that stunt, sort yourself out.
So, not strictly Overwatch, but related. So, Heroes of the Storm, a lot of the heroes carry guns. In their pre-game 'idle' pose, all of them either have their fingers on the trigger, or 'no discernable trigger, but if there was, their fingers would be on it', with two exceptions. Those exceptions are Raynor and... D.Va?
So, here's a thing I've noticed and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed it too: You're healing a D.Va, she's getting low, but you're managing to keep her in your mech. Someone does a sharp burst of incoming damage and her health bar never actually drops below zero (because you grenaded or Zenyatta ulted or amped it up, whatever) but she gets knocked out of her mech anyways. Her now full health mech. The mech that wouldn't have died if she'd been any other hero. Is this just a thing I'm seeing or...?
Haven't noticed it, but it wouldn't surprise me. D.va is weird cause she's two heroes in one, stuff gets screwy with her all the time.
Usually I'm playing Mercy, so I can write that off as "incoming damage > outgoing healing" but I've been doing a lot of Zenyatta recently and it's really obvious when it happens right as he ults. Even if I'm ulting prior to that damage, a lot of times D.Va get knocked out of her mech.
fuck but Doomie is so obnoxious to play against. I like the idea of gaining shields by landing abilities in theory, but in practice that fucking dipshit Doomfist had ten health and deserved to die for overextending like that.
Well, yeah. But she's not the only actual military officer in the lineup, and... let's be honest, doesn't exactly seem the most professional out of them. For instance, Nova doesn't have trigger discipline. On the other hand, they added pre-game character interactions the last big patch, and D.Va's confused squeeing re: anyone from Starcraft is adorable.
yeah yeah yeah!! I don't think she's gonna be a playable character, but she'll be hecking cool. I like her weird culty thing she's got going down, her whole "we won and everything's ruined and all there's left to do is revel in the spoils of war" dealie. it's cool.
