I am somewhat peeved about the difference between the way that Ashe and McCree are rendered in the short. Turns out girls don't have pores I guess?

I like her fashion, but I wish her character model was different. Kind of frustrated even more by the female AI at the end though.

Still, hot outfit. Like her tie as a consistent character piece throughout her life. Nice fashion

 

I've seen too much whining about her being a privileged rich girl and I'm like SHE'S A VILLAIN and I'd have thought that is precisely a villainous background

 

And it's not like how she's presented doesn't mesh with her being a rich kid. She's got a real bratty vibe to her, yeah? Yelling at Bob to just fix it for her already, jeeze!!! when Mccree doesn't die easy like how she wanted. She's not, like. A character with ideals and goals and shit, she seems like she's more of an adrenaline junkie-type who does crimes cause it's fun to dress up like a cowboy and blow shit up. That's a fun character to play around with!

 

some people have ridiculous issues about playing a character they can't morally justify as Good

and then assume that because they have issues the character shouldn't be like that

 

I just find her backstory super boring tbh
like, give us a reason for her to give up a life of privilege and comfort to go rob trains in the desert! I don't mind that she was rich, it just feels like they put zero effort into explaining it

 

i don't like her much at all, kinda bummed that the last three hero releases got me exactly 0% hyped

 

Yeah. It does seem she was given no love whatsoever growing up but a bit more about why desert banditry appealed would be nice. Like she was obv. gonna disappoint her parents but HOW? Why that?

 

She's now playable on the PTR. First impression? Not bad at all. She feels a lot like a DPS Ana with the gun. Dead on accurate. I can't work out if it's hitscan when sighted in, I was having bad Internet. Single shot per mouse click, but rapid firing. Reloads are slow, one cartridge at a time, but interruptible and doesn't discard what's already loaded, so a manual reload is advised when you get a moment. She's not fun if you run out of ammo mid fight.

The dynamite applies a DOT fire debuff as well as the blast damage. Goes off when the timer runs out or if the dynamite is shot, so you can avoid them.

BOB is powerful and I think might get a Nerf, but we'll see. Some sweet skins. Nice voice lines.

The coach gun when pointed down gives a decent jump, able to get you onto balconies or the like.

 

It’ll be interesting to see how they try and balance BOB, honestly. She’s got a good, weapon focused playstyle (though I suck at her) and in practice, BOB’s a moving Tier 3 Torb turret, except you can sleep/stun/heal him.

Pretty good at decimating lower ranks, but just a disruptive zoning ult on higher ones, I’m guessing. My cheif complaint is that he’s taller than the payload so it doesn’t block line of sight, but otherwise it feels pretty easy to duck out of his way.

 

I love how Ashe plays, she feels like a borderlands character, and the fact that she's not a fucking hamster makes me way more enthusiastic about getting back into Overwatch.

 

I fucking hate the hamster.

 

The sole joy Hammond's existence has brought me has been the sheer stupidity of the shipping discourse involving him. Like that shit reached a level I do not know if we can ever surpass as a fandom in terms of how stupid it was.
