And it's always so fucking sad when the other team doesn't take advantage of that huge glaring weakness, cause it's like, whoops, they didn't have any fun and they don't even get to win. I played a competitive match where I got gold in objective time because I sat my Mei down on the point to guard it while the rest of my team spawn camped. For three rounds. I mean, one of them even went Tracer, I don't get why she didn't go for the point, but. I mean, I guess for some people it's just about the killing, and fuck the objective.
They had two Hanzos, a Genji, a Pharah, a Mercy, and a Winston, so they had a fair amount of maneuverability too. I actually wasn't able to get out of spawn with how they staggered, even with D.Va's boost. I think the only reason I got so far as Tracer was everyone hyperfocused on the other tank+teammates trying to kill them so they stopped spawncamping and no one actually noticed the point being taken until it was past a third. There have been times where I've been spawncamped like that and honestly considered putting OW in windowed mode and occasionally moving my character three inches to the left in spawn while I played something more fun, like cookie clicker.
howdy howdy i just more or less got myself tossed into this fandom and wanted to rant about my bits ^firstly, on the above i got into a quick play with a group who was doing this and i more or less abandoned them cause i refused to play like that. ive been camped like this and it sucks ass and i figured it was the better thing to do than do it to them. i think its chill to do against ai tho but if you can do it easily then its too easy, ya'know? ok otherwise ive had some great times playing and ive laughed my ass on many occasions. i once kept putting a mine (as junkrat) behind someone who was playing as reinheart and kept tossing them into the air. the last few seconds i was on a building and did it again, and they went flying into the air and landed on the building in front of me. and then we won and all you could see is this angry reinheart swingging his fuckin hammer at me it was great my main is Junkrat but i also like to play as Lucio, Reaper, Soldier dad, Bastion, and have recently gotten into likin Tracer to play as
why thank you my friend drew it for me a while ago and all the howdys all the time (also off topic, how do you @ someone like that i've no clue)
Had a fun match today just got up and queued and got into an in process game defending on Dorado. Decided on D.va and I kicked ass with POTG and three golds. Yes, it was a self-destruct it at just the right moment to win, triple kill off the blast, one with the popgun waiting for the explosion and one in the mech immediately after. Then a Pharah popped up and shot me in the butt
ngl if that had been Roadhog's outfit I would learn to git gud at Roadhog just so I could play as him in that skin all the time. Because I love RHPS, and because Meat Loaf, who plays Eddie, is my all-time favorite artist 8I I WOULD BE MEAT LOAF FOREVER AND NOBODY COULD STOP ME
Hollywood, 12 Mercys, none of us in the base skin. It was like a joyful mobbing of crows and I enjoyed every second of it.
Two Anas, a Mercy, a Hanzo, and a Tracer defeated a horde of Hanzos. Someone was screaming his fucking ultimate every five seconds. There was healer on healer nanoboosting action. I gave someone candy and died.
Last game was awful though. The capture the point shit and my team was a mess so I said fuck it. Time to see what Bastion even does. I wandered around uselessly as a tank. At most I probably shot myself. I parked myself in front of someone staring at me and shot them to death. In the end I shot at the ceiling crying for robotic death.
Bas is fun when you're just running around and shooting, and you really gotta make sure you're constantly changing your position, or else someone'll nail your ass to the floor. People who park them somewhere and never stand up again are playing them wrong. The element of suprise is what wins it for Bastion. I can win a 1v1 against Bas as goddamned Mercy if their player is being a squatter. Been playing a bit of Bas lately, and there's ways to make it fun.
