The nickname has more to do with the circumstances under which we briefly met- my being Sans's drinking buddy to both our detriment- and your being the local nicknamer.

Though I'm sure you've had your share of -does the voice again- "well I know that now" moments.

I meant exactly what I said- if you knew the story you'd be less enthused. Because the nickname is connected to the stupid one.

*sighs* And yeah, that did make me less enthused. But I have been rather dumb lately, so...

 

Who hasn't, as of late? Blame it on the multiverse throwing up its asshole. I'd been dry for weeks until I came through, after she died, though I guess that was more out of character for me than ending up back in the bottom of a bottle the first chance I got. -shakes her head ruefully-

 

*laughs* Nah, I reckon my mistakes were all on me, not on the multiverse vomiting any of its body parts. *winces* I didn't have to join Bill, but, well, I did it anyway. *sighs*

 

Oh, I'll still take blame. There's just... something about the situation that makes us different. Perhaps not more susceptible, but more pressed.

I am, as well. I regret I wasn't there when Zacharie showed up, though it means he's only very mad at me instead of exceptionally. I knew he couldn't take a shortcut, and he could be talked into going with his brother at least for a night with the weather and not being able to follow me. I didn't know he'd show up. I'd planned for Sans to just go home overnight and I'd cover for him in the morning. I should have looked ahead. I should have known.

Not everything, no. But complications like that? What good is the headache for if not avoiding obvious pitfalls like that? Zacharie has a suspicious Knowing not unlike my own, of course he'd find out we were out drinking. It was fucking stupid to think work would keep out so late that we could go a full pub crawl and make it back before he came back. Nevermind the fact that no plan survives implementation. I know that. I've been plotting and scheming since I could talk! The sheer fucking arrogance of thinking any plan would go off without a hitch! And because it wasn't for my benefit it's natural that it wouldn't go wrong for me but for Sans.

I should have known.

 

*sighs* Well, I should've known that joining the dorito demon was a bad idea, so... hey, you're not the only one who has missed important things like that. And I'm fifty thousand years old. I really shoulda known better.

 

If I lack the shame to have a public meltdown I ought to at least have the courtesy to make it an interesting one and that was bland as shit, sorry. I'll blame the multiverse for my inability to keep things in my head, too.
