I would never get "handsy" with anyone without an express invitation (and my wife's enthusiastic consent and/or direct involvement), but I think that's not the kind of handsy you meant. I was just answering your question, up to you if you want to know more. And now I am answering your other questions!

1. I do not get into situations like that because I am a paranoid old bastard and my family is composed of intelligent, competent people who get all the training I can arrange as soon as they're old enough to handle it. But, assuming someone did get the drop on both me and my kids, G-d help them when my wife shows up, probably with my brother and her sister in tow! I'll stall the son of a bitch until I can either kill him myself or she gets there and we do it together. I am not alone in this multiverse any more. I can't keep her from coming after me when I'm in trouble even if I actively attempt to prevent her from it and after the last time she made me swear a solemn vow never to do that again.
2. Everything I need is already IN my vault except the people.
3. Ask them politely where they got it, assuming we're not actually in a combat situation to begin with. Even a murderous asshole (which I am not) ought to be able to appreciate the value of starting with the path of least resistance.
