Chroma is just irascible, because the kind of brain she and my husband were blessed with can make quotidian interactions difficult to put up with, and she has not had sixty-five years to refine how she deals with people who insist upon getting under her armour. We expect the best from her, and so should you. She's learning to live in a world that is not out to kill her, and that is no easy adjustment.

Ford and I fought side by side in a war. I don't actually know what our body counts are. Perhaps because I am a predator, I don't think about it as much as some of the rest of us do. Ford's brother Stan is with my sister. As in, they're dating each other. I don't wish nuclear annihilation against Stan. I don't even wish nuclear annihilation on Shira Kratal, because she lives three hours up the coast from me.

Shira Kratal is one of my sister Getheny's "frenemies" but they're a lot more enemies than friends. Shira and Getheny are both on a television show called "The Real Housewives of La Cyr". It is about the ways wealthy women screw each other over. Shira has decided, for whatever reason, that she also hates me.

I am simply saying that after Stan and Getheny have been together a few more months, Stan will understand why I simply cannot describe that woman without the use of curses.

It's an Alternian thing...and three of my four daughters are Alternian.

Shirananda Kratal is exactly what Valiska said she was. I just wouldn't put it that way in the presence of ladies (your wife included, in spite of her language) or children.

 

*laughs* Valiska's description of Shirananda sure makes me feel prepared for the possibility of interacting with her, though. I mean, I wouldn't wanna but if I did end up having to, I wouldn't waste any time hoping for her not to be like that, since I know that's not happening.

I'm used to having people who don't know that my shortname is Ford call me Stan. But I bet Stan's not used to having people call him Ford! Even when he was using my name in the Falls, he was called Stan, not Ford.
