Well, yeah, but that was when you were pretending to not be yourself. I mean, come on, "Bill has proven himself to be one of the friendliest and most trustworthy individuals that I've ever encountered in my life. I honestly can't trust him more! Not evil in any way, Bill is a true gentleman..." sounds nothing at all like the real you. It was just a mask you put on when it was convenient and tossed in the trash the very moment you had no more use for it. And I know about that shit. I've done that shit.

Insufficient answer. Further discussion will upset both parties, and possibly trigger Ford.

Rom has been warned of potential danger. It is up to her to consider this in future and make own choices. Ford has done his duty.

That is very good to hear. Also, if it comforts you any I've no interest in dying now. Whereas my dying for a child might provide an advance in my research, dying now would do nothing but stunt it. I am alive and I intend to stay that way.

I know. First I was his apprentice and then he became my adoptive father. I'm just saying this because I know him. Also, I'm pretty sure he's said his piece.

I do hope your friend is true, but further advice is not my business.

Does your species reproduce in a way that is dangerous to the parents? Surprisingly common for organics. Suppose it's evolutionarily viable because offspring are had, but longer life would surely mean more offspring.

It can be dangerous to the mother, yes. Many women die in pregnancy, gods involved or no. It puts quite the strain on the body and complications can arise. Fatal ones.

Unfortunate. Hopefully methods to preserve health can be further developed.

My species spawns in hot spots as dictated by the will of Primus.

Hopefully. My own mother died in childbirth.

Also that is quite interesting. Do you reproduce? Sexually that is. You are non-organic if I recall.

    Well... not directly.

Sparks form in hot spots when triggered by a release of energy controlled and dictated by Primus. Not any spot can be a hot spot, it takes a certain composition of the ground. Sparks form on the surface, and can then be harvested along with a specific amount of the surrounding metals, which is then referred to as sentio metallico, the living metal of hot spots. The sentio metallico forms a protective shell around the spark and bonds to it, and over a period of no more than two weeks will develop further based on internal programming and the forms of fully grown transformers the protoform is exposed to, eating and growing until they are fully grown and sapient, and now considered an adult, although an uneducated one.

In that sense, previous generations have no real impact on subsequent generation's formation, sexually triggered or not.

However, certain models are more common than others, and perhaps could be considered 'related'. Protoforms imprinting on adult cybertronians could also be considered loosely related to their imprintee. Primus could will certain sparks form with connections to existing sparks, I suppose. Sparks can split or bond to other sparks before being harvested and create siblings.

However, none of these are really sexual reproduction, but it's not exactly... asexual reproduction, either. Divine reproduction, perhaps, as orchestrated by the will of Primus? Alchemist knows how we manage to evolve and change as a species, physically.

Gods, if only I could see you. You sound fascinating. You're a rather nice individual too.

The formation and evolution of life is fascinating, I agree!

Oh. Thank you. You sound nice, too.

... For all that Weirdmageddon was strenuous on reality and everyone present, something good came from it
Because I got to meet all you aliens and get a chance to interact with you that is not the imperially-mandated kill on sight because everything that isn't alternian is inferior and undeserving of existence.

I wonder how huge the universe is.

Sounds oddly similar to some of the wartime Decepticon policies. Organic species were considered resource wastes 'stealing' space that could 'rightfully' belong to Cybertron, other mechanoid races were considered 'wayward cousins' who would be crushed if they offered resistance.

I obviously disagree, but it interesting it shows up independently of everything else. Every society has an 'other'?

No matter what scale, there is always an "other". Other people, other clades, other castes, other ships, other species... Put your own first, whenever, because resources are scarce.
Or so they would have us believe. Distributed unequally might be more accurate.
    ...
Is it bad that I kind of want to see our worst and your worst duking it out? One would need to find a way to minimize collateral, though.

    Mmmmm.

Not sure how to minimize collateral even in theory.

Ask about 4 million year war sometime. Unclear on details. Ravaged everyone.

It's infinite. There are billions of dimensions, galaxies, planets, and cultures. You could live for a billion years and not visit all of the ones you could live in, not to mention the ones you can't live in because the dimensional laws of physics are different, or the planetary atmosphere is toxic, or the dominant species can only survive in an environment that's deadly to you.

We are so small and the multiverse is so big. It's amazing.
