...well, since the others quite neatly dissected your poor word choices towards the end of your sentence there, I'll address the content of it. Dignity has its uses. But people who refuse to do what is good and necessary because it is beneath their 'dignity,' or who use irrelevent culturually limited markers of 'dignity' to define personhood - *obviously bites back some words and shakes her head* They need new lessons, at the least.

 

Everyone else has addressed this so I'm not going to say much except that reading those words felt like one of those moments where nothing is going the way I want it to, and my spine feels like it’s writhing around inside of me on its own accord, and if you touch my back, I’ll jump and hiss and show my teeth without even thinking about how rude that is.

My station in my own world and dimension is rather high, but at one point in time I lived with my foster mother in a brothel she owned and cleaned rooms and waited tables while I tried to get through basic elementary education, and at the age of ten, I found this a very preferable alternative to being raised in a death cult by parents who intended to pledge me to a goddess of darkness and destruction in order to become a soulless killing machine.
