To be perfectly honest: I wasn't asking for permission. I'm no combat-class, but I'm more than willing to pick a fight with any slaver who ends up in my crosshairs all the same, whether or not anyone else wants to deal with the fallout. ...I was going to say "there's a reason my crewmate's a tank," but honestly we didn't even know what his alt-form would be when we picked him up, sometimes Mala's just kind like that.

I was counting cards across the room, being careful not to win too much, and Sunshine was using psionics on one of the games I didn't understand, and Rick had some device that his psionics disrupted so they both got thrown out and I was the only one who made any money.

Anyhow, Rick had been hitting on us half the night and he insisted I do this dumb smuggling thing with him and I told him it was never going to happen, then Sunshine realised what was really going on and tried to kill him, only Sunshine was too drunk to kill him and Rick was too drunk to die.

 

...I tend to count "mental well-being" as part of "health and safety," though I admit I don't believe I've made that clear since I've come here. Psychological harm's just as important as physical harm, even if I am more well-equipped to fix the physical side of things. (...and if I've had this viewpoint for a proportionally small part of my lifetime, but there's nothing to do for that but to keep living.)
If you'd rather not talk about this I can certainly stop prying, I'm just trying to explain my own viewpoint.

 

Bill's out of my life and the portal has been dismantled. My whole family is now in Dimension 52 where I am a part of the government, you knucklehead.
