And while I personally haven't punched a dragon yet... I do assume it is great fun, yes? Well this "Mom" you are talking about is quite right that sometimes, a great commander has to be quiet and sit still. So they can launch a surprise attack! Stealth and not drawing attention is just as viable a strategy as running in with fanfare and blasters and dramatic detonations. Sure the latter is more fun, but the former is sometimes the smarter move. Plus you get to be really smug because people didn't notice you.
