It's all expanded universe stuff, doesn't come up in any of the movies. The Je'daii ended up having a civil war that split into what would eventually be the Jedi Order and the Flesh Raiders, who were idiots about being evil and got their ass handed to them. The Dark Side didn't really have an Order of its own until the Sith Purebloods, which were actually a species with a genetic predisposition for left-handedness and Darkside Force-use, founded their empire. The 'modern' Sith are more inspired by them than actually connected, like Lombardy pretending to be Rome during the middle ages.

Pureblood and Red Sith are mostly just terms to distinguish between Sith the species and Sith the Order rather than actual purity of bloodlines. I'd have to look it up but I don't think they're Near-Humans so they can't breed outside their own anyway.

Aaaah... so, I guess that means if there was an alien that was red and a Sith but not a Pureblood, calling them a red Sith would be really confusing, yeah? Likewise, with Pureblood instead, for Harry Potter crossovers in which Lucius Malfoy is a Sith Lord?
