Lives aren't inherently worth anything. People don't have worth. Assigning worth is the first step in assigning tiers of worth, where some will be held higher than others with vague concepts of inherent worthiness being used to justify the atrocities following.

People aren't worth things, but their actions are going to have consequences. If you want to save him, fine. We're not stopping you. But the performative shock and surprise when this is the... third time he's fallen over himself to frag over everyone else? It's tiresome.
