Existent or not, one can still work in service of a believed-deity. Many societies have priests or oracles or what have you. Actual existence of deity: inconsequential.

What is the point in working in the service of a thing that does not exist? Why lock oneself into the idea that you are doing good for a deity instead of simply doing good because that is what should be done? If the existence is inconsequential, then why does it matter? Why waste resources on belief?

Bushes are plants, plants cannot talk nor can they grasp even simple concepts let alone concepts of religion. I cannot speak to fish or birds, as some are smart while others are stupid. Evolution has done everything, and the existence of beings like myself makes a 'god' impossible. I was created by man, even my self-learning A.I. was created by man, which means I could not have been touched by your 'god'.

If a being, a life, can be created purely with science and technology then why even think there would be a god?

Perhaps there is just no god where I come from, but I doubt the existence of beings that depend upon belief to exist.

If life can be created by a higher intelligence-- in Mint Green's case, if AI can be created by humans-- could not that higher intelligence be in turn created itself? Could humans not be, in their own way, AI created by a species either capable of hiding themselves from human senses or so permeating the world that human processors don't consciously notice them?

There are many, many forms of life in the multiverse. One-- or more-- that feed(s) on the energy of thought, of will, is not so farfetched I think. But whyever would deities depend on belief to exist, if they do in fact live?

Feh. In short: My experience with religion and 'gods' is poor. I do not grasp how the concept could be true, as I am a man-made being. I am a bit of an exception, however, as I am the first properly self-learning and self-aware A.I. created in my ah... world? I suppose?

Where I am from 'god fearing' individuals often harass and assault droids for being 'soulless man-made demons'. Rallies with parts of innocent droids of nearly every color being used as decorations and war trophies. I find it hard to believe a god, one that is as good as has been implied, would let this happen. They may not quite be at the level of a human or myself, but they still have pain sensors and proto-emotion systems.
