I got to pet a sea monster today!

 

How big a sea monster? Did it eat people?

 

It was pretty bit - big enough to smash up our boat without trying, at least. But the sea-people took the fisherman back to shore, and Alyssandra and I weren't really incapacitated by the loss of the boat. It didn't eat anyone, and once the Speaker arrived to sort out the disagreement, it was a really friendly sea monster that just wanted chin scratches and belly pettings.

I have the best job some days.

And you must live somewhere very landlocked. A sea is water, lots of water - like a lake, only much, much bigger. A sea monster is a sort of general term for any large dangerous thing that lives in that water.

For a bit. We had to keep moving on too quickly to indulge in sea monster shenanigans for terribly long, unfortunately. It's hard for me to distinguish color underwater, but it seemed to be a sort of grey-green?
