I do try not to be an asshole, and I did not think the remark would occasion nearly so much hostility. People don't normally shoot one another over remarks like that on Pennarion or in the Falls, and on Pennarion we have duelling.

Gotta say, much as Throttle wantin' to shoot you weren't a good move, that was a damn painful thing to say. Scanner sure is a pain in a fraggin' aft ninety-nine per cent of th' time, but he don't deserve to have it implied no-one ever gonna care 'bout him.
