I appreciate your concern, but as I said, I am perfectly capable of recognizing when I am being taken advantage of, and I do not need two relative strangers speculating on my relationship health. If someone were to speak to me about this, I'd expect it to be, oh, my conjunx. Or amica - who is a therapist, by the way. Or anyone who I've spent significant time with outside of a space that is unrealistic by definition. So please drop it.

Oh, how lovely, someone else who thinks they know exactly what's best for me and what role I play in life with a simple conversation. I noticed you didn't even ask me whether I was upset or felt taken advantage of. Excuse me for seeing a pattern of behavior in the way you're treating me so high-handedly, because the last time someone spoke over my head like that, I ended up thrown on the front lines of a war.

And I'm a combat medic - or I was, for several million years. I've been hurt. I can take it. And I don't appreciate the implication that because of my profession and my alt-mode I should be treated like glass.
