Valiska's jaw drops during the conversation about power imbalances but before she can say anything and get herself in trouble, Norm does it for her and she closes her mouth with extreme prejudice when Life Support insists that their concern is misplaced.

However, the whole thing bothers her in a way she cannot quite manage to suppress and she finally settles for saying, quickly and almost under her breath--so that nobody has to acknowledge it unless they choose to-- "...it is so difficult for me to imagine being part of a species in which reproduction can be triggered without the knowledge of any party to the situation, let alone without their consent..."

Yes, they are, it's true. I have a feeling he didn't believe they were a possibility in this particular encounter, though - he was certainly surprised enough when we found out he was carrying Hippolyta. Had he engineered it, I think I would have ended up carrying her instead.

I was angry because my judgment was being questioned by someone I barely know, and I've got quite a bit of baggage attached to that particular thing. especially the way you presented it. I'm not... it feels nice that people were expressing concern for me, and I probably shouldn't have reacted the way I did.
