Faulty logic with incorrect premise. Other two Captains also run ship, which means affecting their emotions likely to effect ship efficiency as a whole. Swiftwing especially seems to require suitable emotional signalling for comfort, and engages in hysterics when insufficiently soothed.

If you are inclined to step down from Captaincy, suppose that is one means of mitigating potential harm. Uncertain if patients will feel secure with two unemotive medics, disinclined to turn my chip on to soothe the damage your chip off causes.

In short: illogical, selfish. Temporary, fine. Permanent, significant problem.

Captain Swiftwing does not significantly contribute to running of ship. Captain Nichrome is capable of subsuming negative emotions and not allowing them to affect her work.

I would think that patients would be reassured by medical personnel who are unlikely to have an emotional breakdown on them, as I have in the past.
