My emotions were overwhelming and confusing because someone I loved was in danger of dying and my emotional response would not allow me to treat him. As it is, he will now recover, if slowly. I do not have time to sort out my emotions. As Triage has said, I am obligated to three command positions aboard, so I do not have time for duties as well as social activities and emotional processing. And we are different species. Who is to say what is beneficial for you is beneficial for me?

Everyone feels the need to give me anecdotes as if they were universal truths today.

The mandate of my ship, while written by bureaucrats focused on power games, is nonetheless binding. I am Chief Medical Officer, one of the Captains - we have three - and the official Autobot representative. While my responsibilities are shared, the Council which assigned these positions to me is very firm in their personnel choices.

Any diplomacy performed by me was doomed to failure in the first place. I am not interested in the prospect. Unfortunately, the council does not care.
