I've been trying to work out how our lives diverged. Am I right in guessing that Tori got kicked out of the Keep because Ganth thought he was you, and you got raised by that madman instead? In my version of things, I was the one chased out and Tori was raised by him. And I don't envy either of you one bit for that. It says much when a darkling changer was a better father to me than my real father.

And yes, swords are my bane. Fists, feet, claws, daggers, scythe-arms, those are my weapons. And my asshole rathorn, of course.

Mine seems to hate everything in its presence save for roast chicken and the Whinno-Hir my brother found during his escape to Tentir for a damned coat of all things. Which he now wants to burn after going through all the trouble of getting it when I had a meeting with the Merikit. Good to hear we both ride on the back of madness itself, I suppose.

That's an easy thing to answer to though. Not so easy is what happened to Tori. To be honest, I'm not sure. He's very tight-lipped about the matter. As far as what I recall he had a nightmare the night before he went missing and refused to tell me what it was about. No amount of name calling or shoving availed, so I left him alone to sulk. The next night he was gone and my father pale as a ghost. He was furious, but shaken. By what I still don't know. Either way from that day forth I was "Torisen" and any questions about the subject got me yelled at or beaten. For years I believed he'd killed Tori.


I'm curious about what you've gone through yourself. You and Tori shared the same upbringing then? With the same home and fatherly figure.
