People argue. I argue - you've seen it happen. Children, especially, will argue over anything they can think of. Getting angry at that would be pointless. I'm well aware that Ave was arguing with you as much as you were arguing with them. You just seemed to be getting a little worked up, is all - I was reminding you that Ave doesn't have the context and experience that you do with words. Calling you both children when you're clearly an adult was supposed to be a joke indicator, but I'm not especially good at those.

That's why I specified I wasn't angry? Norm seemed to be getting upset, that's why I said what I did. I can understand why you believe I'm taking my child's side, but really, I just don't want anyone to be unnecessarily distressed.
