We can talk about this in the morning." Then he prattles on and I smother him with a pillow until he either stops or starts laughing. Either works, really.

[Mara notices Dorian is staring, and begins to jiggle seductively.]

 

"There's something we agree on. Unicorns!" Ford sputters. "I'll still chant sutras at you if you cause any trouble. Stop throwing those chaos spells everywhere. And Death's-head, you are not a unicorn!"

He side-eyes Dualscar. "For someone who's not done talking, you sure do hit on my daughter a lot. Stop it. My thirteen-year-old son has your gun, you know."

 

Ford starts chanting.

 

*Slowly takes a sip* Ah, it seems that the phallus does a good Iron Bull in the thick of battle impression, or generally anywhere.

 

Oh, you've been dead before? How did you get back? I was under the impression that souls once departed couldn't be bound, and only the foulest of blood mages would attempt to bind one at the moment, but if you came back that might mean--

Oh. You were talking about the metaphorical kind of death, right. I might have let entusiasm get away from me. [He shrugs ruefully.]

Yes, I'm begging to think I was a terrible fool. Or perhaps a terribly lucky one, if my bedsides have always been so tenderly awaited.

It's easier to talk at night! Especially if I've remember something while walking the Fade. I've figured out how to talk to spirits at night, and they do say the most fascinating things if you make sure not to let yourself be bound to them.

Ford starts to laugh out loud when Mara is gone, then remembers he's still holding a sleeping wiggler and a pillow wrapped up in his sweater and stops.

I can't die, I've even been burned to ash. Ziegler did that one, not the burning of course but the unable to die thing.
