She smells suspiciously like the @Teal Grub's pillow (although she is cleaner) and she has no intention of letting the @Teal Grub go uncared-for any longer, because the person who dreamed her into existence is tired of watching his wife and @Sawbones of Kaon be sad cats.

She pulls herself up on the edge of the wiggler's playpen and stands on her back feet like a kangaroo, sniffing the wiggler.

It was the most efficient way to teach her that overstepping boundaries was not acceptable, as she has proven unreceptable to everything else.
She does not have to understand why if she staunchly refuses to. Just that.

While her reaction seems disproportionate certain people find certain sensations excessively unpleasant. Have you considered sticking her in a playpen instead?

 

If nothing else has convinced her, how's traumatizing her going to teach her anything beyond "Kite's a slagsucker who goes right for my weak spots, better avoid it and get sneakier about doing what I want"?
