Yes, that would be a neat solution to the problem, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, if they haven't stepped in yet, so I'm given to think that any god is unlikely to help. It's a nice thought.

 

It may be a definitional mismatch.
People do not typically refer to the Unmaker as a god. Neither do they rever Mortilus as one. As far as the Primes are concerned, it gets a bit trickier. They are mortal, but they are also often worshipped as deified heroes. Not all of them, of course, Primus' children have always been fond of picking favorites.

They're dead. All the gods are trapped or dead or trapped and dead awaiting rebirth to devour and corrupt the rest of us until nothing is left but death and despair. If you've got a solution to that other than 'find a better god', I would appreciate it.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped. There's a certain sort of sentiment that all the Dalish should give up and convert already because our gods are gone. Given that conversion typically comes at the tip of a sword, you can see why we might resist it?

Magic is real in our world. As are the gods. This space intersects the multitude of realities in a manner reminiscent of what I would call the "Fade", a multilayered space of will and power. Though I think the Avvar would agree with your method, if not your belief system.
