Watching is educational, but alas, neither of them are here right now to agree. What a shame. You'll have to find whichever pocket they're hiding in if you want to barge in on the Planet-Eater, or else be very patient and very observant like every other field biologist.

 

(Meanwhile, several rats have squished themselves into a box, forming an excellent ratpile. Other rats have claimed entire small boxes, filling them with stray fluff and bits of food, or just chewing on the boxes.)

 

[Onyx slowly and carefully leaves offerings of grains, fruit, and appropriately-small bugs near the ratbox. Perhaps the tiny organic friends would appreciate a snack?]

 

-A red-haired, stout teenaged girl appears in the Rave, looking around with a start before shrugging.-

Nearby, the loosely organized colony seems to have elected a smallish rat to investigate the bugs and other food.

He approaches a skittery insect cautiously, reaching out with a paw to pap it. Pap pap? It is retrieved and crunched... he groom.

How are there so many rats? One approaches @Nimona, a fuzzy ambassador of the smol.)
