"Not really," says Mabel. "A lot of us aren't accidents, and I would also say not all of us are especially lucky. I'm lucky--but I'm not an accident. Ma'Vali's kits are going to be pretty lucky but they are definitely not accidents."

And why do your disappointing parents mean that everyone else must be the same?

[He picks up the tiny armadillo. A few moments of cuddling would be enough to make him fall asleep, it usually is.]

Mabel grins. "Dipper's been pretty freaked out since he found out that Transformers are real, even though given what else has turned out to be real, there's not any reason you shouldn't be. Maybe because we didn't actually see any of you guys during Weirdmageddon. Cthulhu put in an appearance, but the only giant robots we saw were made by Old Dr McGucket."
