Not only you two, others as well... it's sprouting and rooting like a living thing without completely overgrowing your soul.
(She tilts her head) And in between the vines I see a torch. Natural predisposition for dimensional shenanigans, I presume?

 

Why do you think ewherry troll of age, and I mean ewherry, seadwellers included, is required to supply genetic material twice a sweep?

 

Ford grins at her. "Well, my wife and I have a lover in common--we'd marry him, too, if marriage weren't a word that's been ruined for him--and we've adopted five kids, who are of an age to be falling in various kinds of love themselves...and we've got two more on the way. And sworn brothers and sisters of the platonic kind. And an actual brother, mine, and an actual sister, hers. And an animal that I adopted managed to bring seven of her friends through the gates, so there's that as well."

 

"Have you ever considered painting your gun some colour that isn't visible from low orbit? I know a thirteen-year-old boy who has a gun exactly like that. He took it off a troll that looked a lot like you."

Mostly just annoys me. The Torchbearer and I have a... difficult relationship, and the Torch can travel through the Night Forest like the Lantern can, but where the Lantern guides souls down the Ghost River to the domain of Tershoet, the Torch permits passage of everything else.

 

"No, dude, I mean that guy. Dipper uses lots of weapons, so if he uses a neon blue rifle, it doesn't announce to the universe 'hey look, it's Dipper!' But if I had been trying to off someone for long enough and often enough that they could spot my gun from miles away, I'd either paint it another colour or use another gun." Wendy shrugs. "I would not try to tell Dipper what to do with his gun, other than not to shoot it because he's high on adrenaline like he did that one time."

 

"So...you're envious of my relationships?" Ford sighs. "Perhaps things will improve for you. I haven't always had this much love in my life. My wife and I were happy by ourselves for a very long time and now we are even happier, but before I met her things were very difficult for me, and I had several very difficult relationships."

... I think the appropriate response here is to apologize for the confusion caused due to my bad wording?
It's difficult to explain, what with the Night Forest having many different layers which are all used for different things and are all unchanging mirror images of different places, but it's considered one place. The dead pass through it. The living as well, and that's what the Torch, or knockoff torches do, guidance, orientation, hope.
But I am glad you have such happy relationships! I think I'm going to keep an eye on you and yours, and if just to see how one of you passing affects the vines binding you, if there's a pull in either direction.

 

Ford's eyes widen. "Well," he says abruptly, "I hope you'll be waiting a very long time to find that out."

 

There is a loud yowl and an affronted slightly wet sparkling comes zooming through the rave, chased by mis.

 

[Nichrome looks up slightly alarmed, then realizes the noises are because someone dared put water on the cat son. That's not dangerous so she does not intervene immediately.]

 

-He zooms behind mom, then shakes himself. There is a scrap of water balloon hanging off his ear and it won´t come off-

 

The mis give chase but skid to a halt in from of Nichrome. Except the one who bumps into her boot-

 

-Nichrome looks down at the Mis, slightly amused.-
So is there a problem?
-she picks the scrap of water balloon off of Soundy's plating.-

 

-the mis shout all at once- He attacked our fort! Mi! Bad cat! Bad Robot!
