It's okay i found the samples somewhere else!
-Stela is now surrounded by machinery, much of it varying levels of organic-looking; somehow she's got a traditional helmsrig and is currently three-quarters of the way inside it, chattering to herself and giggling. The 'somewhere else' was probably 'the ether', or god knows where else. She's clearly not in her... normal state of mind right now-

 

What kind of beast is it?

 

Slavery is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it prevents the otherwise idle masses from maintaining a purposeless lifestyle. On the other hand, it enables the wealthy and affluent to maintain one in their stead. Alternia's society is good, however. No, great. Great, great, great, great, great. Even members of the nobility such as Dualscar have an important purpose, and the Empress has the leading role in the stageplay. An actor who has not needed to exeunt from the stage for millennia. Truly, an enlightened despot. Even the clowns have important roles, though they do engage in needless frivolity.

Now I actually know something about it!

 

Stela's contraption has grown. The helmsrig is now incorporated into a larger structure, parts of which seem to be warping in unusual ways. Still other parts are giving off sparks; lasers are involved, although what they're doing is unclear even though they appear to be entirely integral to the overall... purpose of the... thing.

and... the worst thing is, you're probably right. ugh. (is it time for callbacks? it IS! reed returns to her battered couch with another bottle of mediocre space alcohol.)

-a kitten pounces in and zooms over to Stela- What is that what are you doing can I see? -he braces his forepaws on a something to look at it more closely-

 

-a hand emerges from the pile, crackling all over with sparks that spring off and earth themselves far more randomly than sparks normally do- Thank youuuuu!! And a cup of coffee, black, two sugars!!! -The hand retreats again-
