[Scanner, holding a hand over his mouth like he is trying not to purge his tanks has a hand in one of Lacuna's wrist joints pretty much immediately, digging finger tips into a wire.]
Let him go or I'm gonna rip it out.
[His voice is static-y but dangerously quiet]

 

-he grabs Lacuna's wrists, looking for the sensor that will make her hand joints looser-

"I can't agree with that, Lacuna," Ford says quietly, still saddened by Samira's abrupt departure. He really shouldn't have told her all of that, he supposes.

"The things that people who had power over us did to us remain in our memories. Sharing the stories with others who have had similar experiences can be liberating. It helps to know that you are not the only person to have suffered in such a way. It helps you remember that you aren't the only one, and that even if you cooperated, you did it to survive."

He sighs. "I've never been in the military, although I guess I was an officer of sorts during the revolution on Pennarion. But I was forced by people in the United States government long ago to create a lot of dangerous and unethical technology. And someone I considered a friend and a lover tricked me into a position where I foolishly gave him a lot of power over me...then made me do terrible things to myself and people I loved."

 

[Shaking his head a little, Triage slid his arms around Venture in a firm but clinical hold, disabling his ability to flare his wings and not-so-coincidentally getting his grip firmly on the jet's arms.]

Oh. Shit. While he was thinking about what to say they started fighting. Well, it's not the first time he's got so lost in his own thoughts he completely lost track of everyone else.

[He lets his fingers drop out of her joint, though he doesn't move to back off yet.]

[He pulls Venture several steps back once Lacuna's fingers are out, keeping a firm grip on him. Once they're out of range, he lets go and carefully turns Venture, crouching so he can get a better view of his seams and damaged wiring.]
