Bianca gives Oily a dirty look. She doesn't know what he's saying, but the tone of it sounds unpleasant. She couldn't stop Norm from attacking him, but she won't let Norm get hurt. Little ones shouldn't be hurt.

She is also not the least bit sure about the red triangle. There was a yellow triangle before this. It started out small like this one, but then it got big. And mean. And dangerous. And red.

At least they don't smell like the same kind of beast.

 

Before the yellow triangle came, Bianca and her family were living in the dreaming world, because humans had driven their ancestors out of the waking world. The triangle tore down the barriers between them for a little while. She got lost, and could not get back into the dreaming world. She wonders sometimes how many others like her there are. She hopes the humans won't kill them this time.
