[Refractor is playing soft music from his speakers - something thumping and stormlike and heavily layered and with the feeling of tradition and history. He freezes in the beginnings of a smooth crouch and looks at the flyer.]

[An instant of surprise instantly turns into something half-digusted and half-offended.] What kind of slagged knock-off are you supposed to be? And how did a bug get his hands on classical Vosian?

-Lacuna immediately has a battered pipe in her hands and swings it at Barrage's wings.-

-raises an eyebrow at the hearts. Really Oneira? Really?-

That's the problem. And I don't know how to deal with the 'everyone else' category without assuming a minimum five layers of deception. It's not really conducive.

 

[Barrage cants his wings up and out of her swing radius, but is probably helped more by his utter conviction that someone so small couldn't possibly hurt him.] The bug yours, then?

-Through sheer force of will, she manages to quietly hiss out a response.-

-The pipe morphs into two knives with nano-sharp edges, and she boosts herself towards him with the help of her wheels and her jets, charging faster than most people can get out of the way.-

 

[Oh. Oh that's kind of adorable, the tiny newform thinks stabbing a Seeker will get him anywhere. Barrage doesn't try to dodge or avoid the attack, but the knives are doing surprisingly little against his armor.]

Kid, you'll live a lot longer if you learn to focus that temper. Nice jump, though, good use of your thrusters.

 

-He shakes his head vaguely. No. Mask stays on in public.-

[His wings immediately cant to the lowest angle he can manage and he can barely resist sinking into the humblest academy salute, though he does duck his head]

[He flinches at the fight and ducks to hide against Swifty's side.]

No sir, Refractor is not trined to Lacuna, sir.

[He flinches again, wings trembling]

 

-Lacuna grinds her teeth and works one knife into the seam of Barrage's side, under his arm. Distracting herself enough to communicate with him would divert attention from taking him apart.-

[Well. At least the bug has some vague knowledge of proper respect.]
...well. The Spires don't toss out their own, I suppose. [He still sounds vaguely disgusted. Beastformers?? In my city?? It's more likely than you think!]

[Unfortunately, Barrage's confidence still mostly protects him from the attack. He does wince a bit, though, and tries to lift the knife (and her arm) away from his seam.] Come on, he's practically an insecticon, kiddo, he's not worth getting so fired up about.

-Unfortunately, she's got as much confidence in her ability to maim and ruin, and she brings the knives into a crack that peels off a section of armor before displaying words to Barrage.-
