I suppose. The more important and common reasons deal with honor or practicality. Whatever honor can actually be called. I've a people to lead and a house to protect, either way. The well of honor being tainted irrevocably to meaninglessness or no.

It's more reliable than a feeling that may or may not come up at the time.

Principles and practicality as I said. Killing Caldane simply because he annoys me is dishonorable. Unless I have a warrant to do so, which I at present do not have. Practically speaking it would be foolish. The Caineron are far larger than the Knorth. Should I fail what then? Even assuming I succeed I might be deemed as mad as my father. I can't keep the Knorth safe if I am being exiled or if a civil war we can't win has started. The why bother at all with my people being a matter of justice. I also don't need to feel particularly sharply to understand that others do.
