If a human does the kind of damage the big AIs do kill or imprison them, too.

I just wish the people making the AIs would make their mistakes where it doesn't cause casualties. If we could troubleshoot the problem... I want to see what they could be without the bullshit.

We have to take down the dangerous ones sometimes because the assholes in charge don't care they're hurting people because it's the right people- Princep is still running because it's not hurting it's creators, only the little people that it's decided are worthless because of a bunch of fucking numbers.

But if I had my way? Everyone in charge of the approval process for hooking the AIs up to actual infrastructure right off the bat would be force-fed their own spleens on a pretty porcelain plate.

The Eidolon isn't that bad, though. A little incoherent at times, but estimates say it's bigger than Princep and they haven't killed anybody or doomed them to starvation and/or jail time and/or a quick knife in a dark alley. I'd feel better if I knew who made them and why, if only so I can be sure they're not another government trawler. If they are I'm gonna be pissed, because the philosopher shtick works too well as a cover.

 

He gives the other a sympathetic look, nodding and not exactly knowing how to respond beyond that. He could tell the guy held plenty of resentment, though.
