-She sips her tea. This is frustrating. She's half-relaxed and half-tense and all tied up in knots, and it's making her a bit... nasty.-

 

"It's called 'overkill,'" Mason says lightly. "If someone yells at you, you yell back, or you say something devastating that will make them wish they'd never opened their mouth. But as long as people keep using their words, you should too. Don't be the person who starts fights. Just be the person who finishes them."

 

"Not true." He piped up, "While trust shouldn't be given unconditionally, sometimes people outside your family can be trusted. Sometimes people INSIDE your family CAN'T be."

 

"Hello," says Lissa. "I am sorry I frightened you before. I was just curious."

 

She ran up to me and startled me. She's lucky it was just a shield.

 

He waves a hello, smiling sheepishly. "I should be apologizing... It wasn't you who frightened me but I handled that situation pretty poorly! What're you curious about?"

 

"Which she got out of," Mason points out, "and you didn't know what she was capable of, either."

 

"Why you made yourself small," Lissa replies. "On purpose, even, apparently."

 

And by then things were getting solved, sooo...

-As soon as she goes to take another sip of tea, there's a crackling surge of power through her tie to Bill and Mab vanishes, leaving behind a slightly-charred chair and a spilled cup of tea. This isn't the dreamworld she's supposed to be in, pal!-

 

Mason raises an eyebrow. "Well. She's burning hot, and at both ends besides."

"I dunno, feels right?" He gives a shrug. "I could give you a list of reasons why, but there's really no need, I'd say."

He looks over at the sudden crackle and shares a similar expression as she vanishes. "That looks like it'll end well."

 

"Alex? Mason?"

Jezebel glances around the space.

"...Mom?"

"Jezebel!" Lissa runs to embrace her daughter.

 

Jezebel sighs. "I wish this wasn't a dream." She glances over at Wilhelm.

"Why are you yellow?"

 

oh my god, jez, you can't just ask someone why they're yellow!

 

"I'm the daughter of Stanford Pines and Beijada Valisseira. I do what I want." Jez laughs. "At least, until recently."

 

"Why not?" He grins and leans on his cane.

 

"Because Will's blue?"
