He snickers a little at the exchange especially seeing Ford getting all huffy over a child.

 

Lissa glances from Wilhelm to the other Stanford, then back again. "You're married?" she asks delicately.

 

It bothers you!

 

He nods at her, smiling.

The snickering is muffled by his hand over his mouth.

 

"Greetings," says Gwendolyn.

"Are you really trying to become human?" Lissa is very curious. "Because sometimes I think Will would have done that, if it weren't for me." She sighs. "He resents me terribly."

 

"Exactly-! I don't trust the Gleeful versions of my family-!" He snapped a bit. Might have had a bit of history there with some instances perhaps.

"And you're not helping-!" He was a little flushed at the laughing.

 

-Her expression goes absolutely flat.-

He blinks. And his gears turn a moment, "I won't call you Gleeful if you don't call me your Uncle."

 

Ford sighs heavily, his face red. This is very awkward. "My last name is Pines. The Gleefuls are cousins, and that's my middle name. But I'm not the person you met before. I'm probably not a good man, and I'm probably not a kind man, but I'm not that man."

Then he turns to Lissa. "I would have let Will go, if I hadn't known what he was going to do the instant I did."

 

"Human? No. I am what I am, no matter what form I decide to take." Bill pauses. "... whatever I am now, anyway."

He grins at Ford in response. "She's got your number."

 

Great-Uncle. And you won't call me Gleeful because I will set you on fire.
