He was about ready to jump into the pool too before Bill put out the flames and he sighed. He thinks it might be better to just ignore her again. Though he's a bit sulky about it.

 

In the language of the Flatlands, Ford very quietly says to @Wilhelm:

"I do, however, wonder, if she is not related to the man you met."

 

"Mabel," says Lissa, "please do not set people's hair on fire."

Jezebel was so much easier.

 

"You've got the wrong instance, buddy!" Bill laughs.

He just stares at her with a blank expression before turning his attention away again, the flames turning a bright blue and enveloping the rest of his body. He doesn't even bother trying to put them out as they didn't seem to be doing anything.

He gives a look of confusion and just smiles and nods as he had no clue what Ford was saying.

 

Why?

 

i so very much don't want to be on fire, on the other hand. so i guess it's actual subtlety time. smile-and-nod-along time. maybe even get your nosy ass out of other people's business reed time? no, that's never gonna happen.
