"I'd have paid her to keep it on, if necessary," he says in a low undertone, so that @Itch won't hear it and demand money.

"I could bubble us so that no-one could hear what we were talking about." Mason smiles. "You remind me of Will. But in a good way, not a bad one. I liked him when we were kids. Sometimes he'd watch us when Uncle Ford and Aunt Lissa were Doing The Science, and Grandpa Stan and Grandma Carla were out." He bites his lip. "Stan and Ford are actually brothers, but it's been a long time since they looked the same age. Something he and Lissa did, I guess."
