As a medic, I gotta say I approve.

 

[Afterglow frowns, but doesn't argue; not here, anyway, not in front of everyone.]

He's one of my squadmates, Lacuna; his name's Thunderwing.

 

-Lacuna gives Thunderwing a flourishing bow.-

It's a pleasure to meet you, Thunderwing! I'm Lacuna of Devisiun. Don't mind the projected text, I'm mute.

 

Of course you do, medics are all in league with each other. [He laughs.]

[More amused bugchitter; he tilts his head a little to look at Lacuna.]

Nice to meet you too, Lacuna. [He doesn't bother returning the bow, but still sounds friendly.] Neat trick y'got there!

 

Well, you can do basically anything in here, so why not, eh?

 

Really? Sweet! [He summons a cube of something vibrantly blue, and barks a startled laugh. So the minibot isn't shitting him!]

 

-she nods. very seriously- Yup. Evil medic conspiracy. Totally a thing.

 

Whoa! What is that? Can I try some?

 

(For a split second there's hesitation in Jhenya because the big pink mech reminds them of Vaska, but she also reminds them of Lanja and Jalkes, who were assholes about it. But this here is a giant space robot.
And Jhenya is still in analysis mode, and excitable)
May I? Oh, thank you! I've never seen most of this stuff before, I'm going to learn so much.

(They detach a thing from their belt that unwinds into a sort of grabbing hand at the end of a cable, and pull out a random object. It's some sort of metallic sphere with colourful spots and strange indents.)

 

Definitely. 's why we can't see anyone else. [Equally serious nodding.]

If I got it right it's some fancy-aft infusion we lifted off the first real gig we pulled together, even though no one else even wanted to touch the stuff. But sure, go for it!

 

-She takes a curly straw out of thin air and waits.-

 

No one wanted to drink it because it's nearly seventy percent sodium, only you want to coat your tanks in that slag. And as for your other comment-- [Afterglow says something that sounds relatively similar to the same bugchitter Thunderwing's been using, but with the obvious concentration of someone speaking a language they're not fluent in.]

 

[Thunder belatedly realises he's way taller than a minibot and is still holding the cube he was offering her.] Slag, sorry-- [He sets the cube down by Lacuna, careful not to spill any of the contents.]

Not my fault you hate sweets! Also, you're murdering your clicks, just comm me later.

 

-She sticks the straw in and sips, eyes widening.-

It's good!!

 

I know, right?! Can't hardly get anything so sweet most of the time but this stuff is great!

 

I just love sweets! I couldn't hardly get much back home.

 

It was easier before we split off, but, well. [He shrugs.] Not much to do about shortages, 'specially when we were off chasing our own objectives most of the time, y'know?

 

Yeah. What are y'all gonna do now that the war is over? Fuck off to a colony?

 

Frag if I know. [He shrugs.] I'm all for just flying around and seeing what there is to see, but that doesn't feed anybody. Jitterbug here... eh, given how he looked when I came in I'm pretty sure you've heard him yelling about the revenge quest already. Wires could hack it as a medic, maybe, I hear they're taking anybody who can prove their skills back on Cybertron, but where does that leave the rest of us? We don't...

...Well. We're not splitting up, that's all we've really figured out so far.

 

I'd mention the TEAM but, as light on Autobots as we are, it doesn't sound like it'd be a good fit for Afterglow. Obrizon sounds nice, which is exactly why I don't trust it. I'd skip over there if I were you. If none of y'all are outliers, you could give Devisiun a look, there's good work there.
